Theodore - Large Lit Turkey

Our Theodore Large Lit Turkey is the most impressive member of our turkey collection; a handcrafted fall gourd luminary with a glowing pumpkin and vine design, a fully detailed turkey face, and a gourd-crafted tail feather that makes him one of the most complete and character-rich designs we make. He is a natural centerpiece for any Thanksgiving table or harvest display.

How it's made
Theodore's body is hand-dyed a rich burnt orange, and our crafters hand-cut a pumpkin silhouette surrounded by flowing vines into the surface, allowing warm light to glow beautifully through the design when the piece is lit from within. His face is a natural tone and finished with two wood-burnt eyes with hand-painted white flecks, a yellow-dyed beak, and a red felt waddle. A third gourd is hand-crafted into his tail feather and attached by hand, keeping the entire design rooted in natural materials from the farm.
Natural raffia is tied around his neck by hand, and a black top hat adorned with green, orange, and yellow berries is placed on top to give Theodore his signature dressed-up, festive look. A hole is cut into the bottom of the gourd that allows an electric corded light base to be placed inside, allowing for a luminary design to be achieved.
