Spring Festival 2026

20 years!  We have been holding our Spring Festival and Annual Egg Hunt since 2006.  Over the years, we have switched things up regarding how many hunts we have done, having it go from a free event to an event that gives back to the community and adding art and food vendors. This year, we have switched up once again.

So, I am going to start with some of the things that remain the same, and then I'll move into the changes which are around the Egg Hunt itself.  This year:

  • Our event will be held from 10:00am-4:00pm on March 28, 2026.
  • We are still inviting Art and Food Vendors back to help you complete any last-minute Spring decorations you may need and also to fuel your belly while you are doing so.  We will be listing those attending on our website at the beginning of March.
  • Our Spring Oops sale will still be held inside the building which you can access either from the gift shop or the middle entrance to the building.
  • Our classroom (use middle entrance to the building) will be open starting at 10:00am for you to come and paint your own birdhouse, butterfly house, bird feeder, gourd basket and gourd eggs.  The last seating will be at 3:00 which allows you an hour to complete your projects.
  • Our Egg Hunt registration will once again be going towards The Paw Pack Program (click on name to get more information about this wonderful organization and what they provide) and your registration fee is non-refundable.
  • You should arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled hunt to make sure you have plenty of time to get checked in at the tent.
  • If you are interested helping out The Paw Pack Program even more, you many bring any non-perishable, unexpired food along and hand in at the check-in tent.

We realized egg hunter's comments and responses to our questions from prior years, that after 20 years, even if you just participated in a few of the hunts, you probably have an abundance of colored gourd eggs so, here are some changes that we are excited to announce:

  • We will be holding two Kid's Hunts and one Adult Hunt.
  • The Kid's Hunts will be held in the grassy area across from the gift shop  for ages 0-17 and will be at 11am-12pm and 1pm-2pm and will be limited to 200 kids.

    • Each child that will be collecting and keeping their eggs needs to be registered for a fee. Adults helping the child(ren) they bring do not need to register but they may not pick up eggs and keep them.  Adults will have their own hunt.
    • In each Kid's hunt, there will be 1,000 raw gourd eggs of different sizes and 20 prize eggs.  The raw gourd eggs are tan/brown in color (shown below), and the prize eggs will be gold in color. Samples of the raw gourd eggs and prize eggs will also be at the check-in tent.
    • Any prize eggs found should be taken to the check-in tent to receive your reward. Prizes consist of bouncy balls, fidget spinners, jump ropes, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and a stuffed monkey.
    • After you have completed your hunt, you may take your raw gourd eggs into the classroom to paint if you wish for $1.00/egg. This is a great way to make all of your eggs unique.  You may even want to initial and date them to make them a great memory.
  • The Adult Hunt will take place all day or until all the eggs are found.
    • The Adult Hunt is for those 18 years old and older and registration is not needed.
    • We will be hiding 50 "cracked" eggs (shown below) all through the event.  They will be painted gold and will be located throughout the vendor's booth, gift shop, and Oops Sale.
    • You are limited to one prize egg per person and if you are lucky enough to find one, you will take the egg to the check-in tent for the Kid's Hunt.
    • Any eggs broken will be forfeited.  The egg will be cracked at the tent, and your prize will be revealed.  Prizes include $100.00, $50,00, gift cards for the gift shop, candy, and of course gourds.
  • We will be holding this event rain or shine.  If it does happen to rain, we will update you on the event changes upon arrival.
  • Raw gourds normally located inside the gift shop will be moved outside to make room for the Oops Sale.
