Leaf Treasure Box

The Treasure Box is one of our most unique fall designs; a handcrafted gourd that opens like a box, with a richly detailed leaf lid that is hand-dyed in warm yellows and oranges and finished with wood-burnt leaf details that give it an extraordinary natural texture. It is a piece that looks like a small work of art and functions as a beautiful seasonal accent or keepsake box.

How it's made

The Treasure Box is crafted from a squat hard-shell gourd grown right here on our farm, naturally shaped into the low, round form that gives it its box-like silhouette. The body of the box is hand-dyed a rich walnut brown. The lid is crafted into a leaf shape and hand-dyed warm yellow and orange tones, with wood-burnt details applied by hand across the surface to give the leaf its natural texture and character. Because each piece is hand-dyed, the color of the leaf will vary slightly from piece to piece, a natural quality that makes every Treasure Box entirely its own.
