Flurry Large Lit Snowman Gourd
Meet Flurry, a handcrafted winter snowman gourd luminary with a warm caramel finish, a beautifully detailed cottage door inlay, and snowflake cutouts that make him one of the most detailed designs in our winter collection. His impressive size and warm glowing light make him a natural statement piece for any holiday mantel, entryway, or Christmas display.
How it's made:
Flurry is crafted from a hard-shell gourd grown right here on our farm. His body is hand-dyed a warm caramel tone, letting the natural surface of the gourd show through. A cottage door is hand-crafted into the front of the belly as a detailed inlay; the door is hand-dyed green with two door knobs attached by hand, and the door frame is hand-dyed red to create a crisp, warm color contrast. Snowflake cutouts are hand-cut into each side of the cottage door, allowing warm light to glow through when the piece is lit from within. He is finished with a red button nose, a warm winter scarf, and a black top hat adorned with a red berry and garland, all applied by hand on our farm.
Flurry rests on a natural wood biscuit base, and a hole is cut into the back of the gourd that allows an electric light cord to be utilized, allowing for a luminary design to be achieved.
