About our Business
We are a second-generation family-owned business with twenty employees crafting thousands of gourds each year from seed to finished product.
We began crafting gourds in 1995 on a farm in Mechanicsburg, PA. In 1996, we moved to our current 200-acre farm at the foot of the Blue Mountains just outside of Carlisle, PA.
We are the largest gourd crafting company and ship all over the world.
We grow 25-35 acres of gourds each year along with soybeans, winter wheat and one of our customers favorites, sunflowers which they can pick for FREE in the Fall!
We were featured on Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe back in 2008. If you would like to view, visit Discovery Season 3, Episode 24. Our section starts around minute 17.

Shop our Gift Shop
Our 7,000 sq. ft. gift shop is stocked with our full Meadowbrooke Gourds hand-crafted gourd collection year 'round. You will also find seasonal decor, gifts, and artisan crafts, along with tools and parts to craft your own gourd designs.
Trolley Rides
Add to your Meadowbrooke Gourds experience by taking an hour-long wagon ride around our beautiful farm in our “Trevor’s Trolley.” The cost of the Trolley Ride is $150.00 which is for 1-35 people. Tour lasts about 45 minutes and is available from May-October. The trolley is not handicapped accessible, as there are about 4 steps to go up onto the platform. The trolley rides will be canceled if there are soggy ground conditions or rain is present when the ride is to begin.
Make Your Own Gourd Project
We offer seasonal projects that can be added to any tour which also lasts approximately 45 minutes. You do not need to be an artist to complete your project, just a little imagination. This is a great reminder of where they were on their bus tour and to show all their friends and family what they did. These can be completed for a nominal fee.
