Thankful for November
November is the month when a lot of us think about all the things we are thankful for in our lives. Here at Meadowbrooke, we are thankful that we are open for business, we were able to bring all of employees back from the shut down, we are busy crafting gourds and that we have found ways to reinvent some of our favorite events at the farm. Mostly, we are thankful for our customers who have made all of the above possible during this very challenging year.
Create Your Own and Classes
Our Winter Create Your Own registration is now open! We are holding this event December 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th & 20th. The first two weekends filled up in about 24 hours once we sent our email newsletter out so we opened up the third weekend. These spots are filling fast, so if you are interested in coming, please sign up as soon as you can. Please make sure to read the information on our website because things have changed a bit due to COVID. Two new Friday class times have been added and our afternoon class known as the GA (Gourd Addict) class is a longer class for those wanting more time to make their gourds for themselves or for gifts. The Friday evening classes are for adults only (ages 21+) and you are more than welcome to bring your own bottle of wine and snacks to share with the members in your group
We will not be hosting any additional classes for the rest of this year but hope to resume them in January both at the farm and virtual Zoom classes. For those that have come the past couple of years to the Saturday after Thanksgiving walk in class to make the Littles, we will not be holding that this year. Thanksgiving Baskets
We have a limited supply of Thanksgiving Baskets that can be purchased in our retail store. These baskets would make a wonderful Thanksgiving hostess gift or gift for those with a Fall birthday. Each basket comes with a Fall gourd, hand lotion or soap, a Fall coaster, a Happy Fall sign, three pieces of Lindt white chocolate truffles and a battery operated tea light. The basket is a 9” burnt orange gourd bowl. For the month of November or while supplies last, you will receive 20% off these baskets.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sale
On Friday, November 27th, we will be holding our annual Black Friday Sale. Our entire retail store, you heard me right, the entire store will be 25% off. This includes all Meadowbrooke Gourds, raw gourds, kits, parts, food items, florals, nothing is excluded. This is a great chance to get your gift shopping done early with a great discount.
Our Cyber Monday online sale will take place from November 27th until December 1st. Everything on our website will be on sale for those that live too far away from our store.
Tuesday Tours
We have decided that we will be putting our Tuesday tours at 2:00 on hold for the rest of the year. We will also not be having our public tours like we normally do between Christmas and New Year’s. We will resume them when we are comfortable conducting them again.
