Meet Roger, Our Lead Gourd Washer
Roger “Mungo” Morrison III Esquire is a man of many talents, various interests, and curious notions. He has worked here at Meadowbrooke for thirteen years now and has been the leader of the washing department for some time. Roger was originally hired for the floating position, which suited him for a time. He eventually ended up doing the dirtiest job on the farm, which is taking the raw, dried gourds, washing them inside and out until ready for the crafting or finishing department. Although this is his main activity here, besides daydreaming about being on Dancing With The Stars, he also takes care of giving the tours throughout the year. He also goes on the road giving informational talks on the growing and crafting of our gourds. In Roger’s free time, he has almost too many activities to list. First and foremost, he is a husband and father of three. He coaches baseball and has recently begun to umpire. When he’s not on the baseball diamond, he can be found at the local flea market selling and sometimes, much to his wife’s dismay, buying a new treasure for himself. His after-hours activities of attending auctions tend to round out a busy week for Mr. Morrison. There is, of course, always time to watch The X Factor and his favorite show, America’s Got Talent. After all, there is always the hope that his famous gourd juggling routine will land him a place in the national spotlight some day.
