Fall is in the Air at Meadowbrooke
Although we have been having a heat wave here at the farm lately, we are still gearing up for Fall!! Before we know it, cooler weather will be upon us and that only means Fall Create Your Owns, sunflowers and all of our new Fall gourd designs in our store.
New Fall Gourd Designs
At the beginning of last week, we began moving the summer items to the back of the store, took down the flowers hanging from the ceiling and started getting ready for the Fall season. By the end of this week, our retail store will be totally transformed into Fall. All of our new Fall gourd designs have hit the shelves along with great decorations to go with them. Our new Lucas family and Cannon gourd look great together and I’m really liking our wall hangers that can either sit or hang on a wall or door. My favorite is the Little Trick or Treat Casper Jack Scene because it has so much character and can fit even in the smallest spaces but have a big impact. Stop by and check out all the new designs in the store and if you aren’t that close, visit our website at www.mbgourds.com.
Fall Create Your Own
Our Fall Create Your Own registration opens up today. We will be holding them on October 2, 3, 9 & 10 and may open up the third weekend if the first two weekends fill up fast. We will be sticking to last year’s format of two class rooms with 35 people in each class and classes will be held at 9:00am, 11:30am and 2:00pm. Each class will last 2 hours and you must register to be able to attend. We will have great new designs to choose from this year and some popular ones from last year. Sunflowers
I know everyone is anxious for our sunflowers to start blooming! We have been getting calls since the beginning of July about them. Our sunflowers are always in bloom for September. This is the best time to come out and pick them and to get great pictures in them. We may have them a bit earlier this year and if so, we will let you know when they are ready on Facebook and also on the main page of our website. The one thing I can tell you is that when they do start blooming, when you come to the farm, look for the big white pumpkin. This pumpkin will be by the field that is at its peak. Remember, our sunflowers are always free but they are for personal use and not be resold.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the farm for some great Fall memories and family time.
