Summer Celebration Vendors 2019
As I am typing this, the Summer Celebration which is being held on July 13th starting at 5:00 is 29 days, 2 hours, 5 minutes and 32, 31, 30 seconds away. For those of you that don’t already know, this is my favorite day of the year at Meadowbrooke! It is an evening that has become a family tradition for some, a place where old friends meet after many years of not seeing each other and where we get to share our beautiful farm with everyone. This event has grown quite a bit over the last few years and I wanted to let you know about the great food trucks, brewery and winery we will be sharing the evening with.
Returning this year are:
Nomad Cuisine has become a staple at Meadowbrooke. Family owned and operated, they bring their delicious menu not only to the Summer Celebration but also to our Create Your Owns and Sunflower Festival held in September. Favorites at the farm include juicy chicken strips, egg sandwiches with just a hint of heat from the sausage, crispy fries, and the mouth watering Frikan Burger. https://m.facebook.com/NomadCusine/
Hall’s Ice Cream will also be here to take care of that sweet tooth. Their thick milkshakes, ice cream and sundaes taste especially good on a hot summer night. Suggestions here, ANYTHING!, how can you go wrong with ice cream (unless your lactose intolerant). http://www.hallsicecream.com
Also back for another year is Molly Pitcher Brewing Company from Carlisle. I am only guessing but I think this is the men’s favorite vendor. Ice cold beer just sounds good while you are waiting for the rest of the family to get done shopping. Ok, now for the newbies,
Soul Burrito from Harrisburg, PA. This family-owned food truck specializes in globally inspired burritos from the Jamaican Sensation to the South of the Border burrito all the way over to their vegetarian option the Tree Hugger, Soul Burrito is filling these tortilla shells with all kinds of goodness. Don’t just stop at the burritos, their oven-baked mac n’ cheese has a big following as well. https://www.soulburrito.com/
We are also welcoming the Pretzel Spot from Carlisle. They are known for their Pretzel Logs that are first constructed with their own pretzel dough rolled out thin and stuffed with juicy toppings such as grilled chicken, bacon, cheese and a hint of Ranch dressing. https://www.pretzelspotcafe.com/
And last but certainly not least, Hat Creek Winery will be serving up Juniata Valley Winery Wines for you to enjoy. For the last few years, we have had many requests to have a winery at this event but we wanted to make sure we had the right one.
