Looking Like Fall

Sunflowers

Sunflowers!  I know everyone wants to know when the sunflowers are going to be blooming and I base this on the many calls, emails and people stopping into the store already. We started planting our sunflowers a few weeks ago and they should begin showing their little yellow faces in mid-September.  Our gourd crop is growing feet by the day and the farm crew is still busy hand pollinating the flowers in the evenings.  We have gotten the right amount of rain and sunshine that the gourds like to grow their best.

Fall Gourds Are Here

In the store, I am starting to get all the Fall gourds displayed in the store and stocked up for the busy season.  I always like when I get to decorate the store for a different season. The Fall Littles are out in mass along with lots of pumpkins, scarecrows and witches.  For those looking for Fall gourds that can be left out longer, take a peek at the Textured Pumpkins, Harvest Gourds or Leaf Vase Silhouettes. For those who like to create your own gourds, I have put the Spring gourd kits away until next year and will have the Fall kits out in the next week. The Christmas kits are also stocked, and it is never too early to start thinking about holiday decorating and gift giving.
