Fun Filled November

October was packed full of two weekends of Fall Create Your Own, our first ever Sunflower Festival, 15 day Best Kept Secret Tour where we got to meet lots of new friends, the Fall sale and the gourd plant tours which just came to an end. Here we are now starting November and it is just as full and we are totally ready for it to begin.

We start out on November 10^th with our Walk-In Turkey Class as part of our Cumberland Valley Arts event. The Cumberland Valley Arts is an organization that showcases the rich heritage of our area’s handcrafted fine arts and crafts. As a member, we are happy to participate in in one of their Arts Day. We will be hosting a Walk-In class that will run from Noon to 4:00pm on Saturday afternoon. You come when it is convenient for you during that time to make an adorable turkey just in time for Thanksgiving. He will look great as a table centerpiece or in an entry way welcoming your friends and family to your home. The cost is $35.00, and we will have all the gourds and supplies you need to make him. Light refreshments will be on hand for your enjoyment.

We will also have a one day 20% off sale on select Meadowbrooke Fall Gourds on November 10^th. Some of these gourds will be retired at the end of this year so now is your chance to get those designs before they are gone forever. All Fall gourds included in this sale will be located at one location in our retail store. Look for the orange 20% off signs. Inventory is limited on some of these gourds.

Just a reminder, we will be closed on Thursday, November 22^nd so we can enjoy Thanksgiving with our family and friends. We will reopen on Black Friday, November 23rd at 10:00 AM with a sale to beat all sales. This is the first time we have ever had a 25 % off sale on EVERYTHING in our store. When I say everything, I am not kidding. Sale will include not only finished products but everything in our crafts corner, raw gourd area, garlands, soups, pictures, tools and participating local artist gourds. This sale is in our retail store only and is your chance to get some of your shopping done for those hard to buy for people on your list. Some items are limited so once they are gone, they are gone but we will be restocking throughout the day until we close at 5:00 PM.

On Saturday, November 24th, we will be hosting another Walk-In class from 10:00 AM-4:00PM. As many of you know, we have started crafting a new line called The Lil’s. These gourds are the smallest gourds we craft. On this day, we will have an assortment of these Lil’ gourds for you to create your own lil’ family. We will have snowman, angels, dogs, cats and bears to chose from. Every Lil’ you make is $7.00 each. What a wonderful homemade gift made by you for your friends and family.

Before we know it, November 30^th will be here and the Winter Create Your Owns will have begun. Until then, all of us at Meadowbrooke want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving (don’t eat too much, yeah, I know, who are we kidding?).
